I am a graduate student intern obtaining my degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University. My passion is to work with those who have experienced trauma and crisis situations. As a member of a very large family, I can connect with a variety of people with various backgrounds, ages, and sets of unique characteristics. I have begun working with children, and I have found purpose, and perhaps also my calling with this group as they are a constant reminder of how precious life is. I bring to the therapeutic setting an open mind, warm and welcoming personality, and the ability to deeply understand a wide range of challenges.
I have a foundation in Christ, and strive daily to "be Jesus" to people by shining God's light on all of His wonderful creations. Regardless of age, race, gender orientation or identity, I provide an environment of acceptance and security. My approach to counseling is humanistic, and I am most skilled with exploring cognitive behavioral solutions. However, I am mindful that each person is different with needs that might not fit into a specific mold, so treatment goals will be tailored to fit each client's individual needs.
I look forward to walking alongside you on your therapeutic journey to a better version of you! Are you ready to go Above and Beyond to achieve it?
